FOOD: 5 out of 5! By far the best food I've come across in California and I'm a Bay Area native. Full of flavor, top fresh ingredients and a good variety of selections (from vegan to meats). You can tell the chef really makes everything from scratch so it tastes like home cooked meals which is what I prefer. I've tried various dishes on their menu and all of them have been 5 out of 5. Our favorites are the veggie momo's, veggie chow mein, lamb biryani, okra curry and Chana masala. Also their chia hot tea is the best I've tasted outside the home - I drank chai as a child regularly since I lived with a family from Northern Kenya and this place is pretty darn close to how it tasted as a child. Amazing!!! SERVICE: 6 out of 5! The friendly waitress/owner makes you feel welcome right when you walk in... like you're dining at her home. My 2 daughters always look forward to coming here just so they can enjoy the great hospitality here! I promise you, you will not leave here unsatisfied or hungry. You will leave here full of joy from the delicious food and heartwarming service! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Me and my friend were meeting up with Concord and being halal, she found this spot; such a hidden gem! We ordered the Chicken Momos as well as the Kashmiri Rogan Josh with chicken. The momos were probably some of the best I've had! Ample filling and delicious and the meat wasn't mushy. The Rogan Josh had a kick since we got medium spice level! The garlic naan and rice were the perfect accompaniment. Service was amazing! The lady was very attentive and consistently checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. We came here for lunch on a Tuesday. The walls are thoughtfully decorated with one of a kind photos taken in Nepal. The decor is simple, warm, and inviting. We were served by the owner, a kind woman from Nepal herself. We were told their unique story of how this female partnership came to fruition. The masala chai was yummy and rich. We ordered vegetarian dishes, with a raisin and nut bread new to us. Portions were generous, so our containers we brought with us were put to good use. Overall, delicious! We will be returning soon.

Flavors or the world #1 Looking for Nepalese food, we found a small restaurant in the heart of downtown Concord called "Himalayan Cuisine" and here is what we think. Coming in, we were greeted by a very nice gentleman and a sweet woman whom also took our order; we shared that it was our first time in their restaurant and eating Nepalese food and they explained every section on their menu, and helped us chose some dishes. To start we ordered the chicken momo's and because I mentioned I didn't eat chicken, they kindly did half vegetarian and half chicken for us. That was super nice of them. Then we order 1 Entree to share which was shahi pista korma, and that was our favorite, the sauce is delicious, not spicy at all, and a little bit sweet, the lamb that comes with it was perfect and really tasty; then, as a side dish we order the Potatoes aloo aachar and Garlic naan, the potatoes were cold, I am not sure if that's how they are supposed to come out but they were fine, the garlic naan was so good, of course, it's garlic! For drinks we had the Mango lassi which is a very thick, creamy and sweet non alcoholic beverage (im assuming popular with kids) and a flying horse beer, which is a lager beer that went great with this meal. Overall, the experience was very good. out of because it lack ambiance. And about affordability out of

Butter chicken was by far the best dish. The powerful combination of spices makes the flavors pop out, nothing short of delicious. The tikka masala was also flavorful and well balanced with spices. The palak paneer (cheese spinach) was ok, but lacked flavor. I should have ordered the dishes spicier - I got mild and really missed the spiciness of the curries that makes the experience. Chicken momo was also good with that orange dipping sauce. The service was good, the waitress takes the time to explain the differences in curries and helps you choose dishes.

We ordered Makhani Mazza with lamb, exotic chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, garlic nann and chicken momo. The food is completely different than any other regular Indian food we have tried before and no wonder this place is 5 stars. I highly recommend the Makhani Mazza and exotic masala, the sauce was the best and very different. The owner can adjust the food basing on your preference and spice level. Everything is homemade and they delicate their dishes. The restaurant is nice and clean. The owner was really nice, she patiently explained the menu to us and what we expected since it was our first time trying Nepalese food.

I used to frequent some Himalayan cuisine restaurants in Berkeley so I thought that I would try one a little closer to home. So you pick from different types of curries along with a spice level between 2-10. Then you choose your "protein" so you can personalize your dish to your specific taste which is nice. I had Chicken Tiki Masala, plain naan bread and basmati rice. It was the flavors, colors and freshness that really stood out to me. I believe it was the owner who was serving so obviously the service was exceptional. The ambiance was inviting and cozy. They're located across from Todos Santos Plaza in Concord. Definitely coming back to try their Biryani!

Overall rating 4.5 Food 5/5 Parking 4/5 Customer service 5/5 Wait time 4/5 Price 5/5 We came here randomly on a Friday night decided to try something new. Wasn't too busy but you could tell everyone knew everyone and it was return customers due to how good the food is. We were sat and given menus. The lady was nice to explain the menu and different spice levels, as well give her recommendations. It did take a while for us to get our order in but we were also given complimentary pistachio chips ) which were amazing). The food all came out together and the everything was amazing and satisfying. Great portions, great flavor and adequately priced. This is definitely a must try and we will be coming back again for explore more of the menu.

Wow! Best dinner in Concord! Cute, quaint establishment ran by a pair of sisters from Nepal. One sister cooks, the other serves and one of their husbands helps run out the food. Perfect family restaurant! We had in order of like to love Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, vegetarian momos, onion and garlic naan, masala chai and the star of the show the scallop korma. The food was fantastic, the service was homey and parking wasn't bad. Beware a 5 is spicy, not medium still great but for those who can't take heat, you've been warned!
